In Guild Games
I did a search for Guild Games and didn't come up with anything like this. If there is already a thread about this please post the link so that I may share my ideas.
An idea a friend of mine and I were talking about is being able to have PvP games within your own guild hall. Allowing members to play a guild wide game such as capture the flag, or king of the hill. Now I will admit that I'm not much into the PvP so I do not have much expertise in this field (which is why I would like other member's input) But the general idea I think would be alot of fun for guild members. When you enter the guild hall you can choose to either enter the game arena, or enter the hall normally. when entering the game arena you have two options, spectator: allowing your character to move throughout the area freely unable to interact with the other players, all chat channels are disabled to prevent scouting. Or you can choose to paticipate in the games and you are placed on a random side (keeping the sides balanced of course) and you can play the game as normal.
I think this would be a great idea and would go along well with another idea of mine of allowing guilds to have multiple guild halls allowing you to have multiple games of different types going at once. I mean the sigils become pretty much useless other than money once you get a hall so why not be able to buy more guild halls?
Once again if these ideas have been mentioned already or if this needs to be mentioned in a different thread please post the link so that I can share these ideas with others. If they haven't been mentioned feel free to give input I would like to see what others think of this.

Had a few page views but no replys. I'm guessing no one agrees with me?

Ahh glad you agree! If you have any suggestion to add to it either games you'd like to see or the way it should work I'd love to hear them.

That would be really cool! As it is, halls just feel kind of tacked on. Sure they're pretty, but they don't really serve any purpose besides giving you a place to gather for GvGs.

Thank you for supporting my idea. I'd love to see what ideas for games would come of this. (I read about monk ball and I must say that has to be the most innovative game i've heard of yet)

It was suggested before and Arenanet said they are going to implement it.
AKA: inner guild practice

I see. That covers the PvP side of it but what I was going for is more of a wide scale game not just team vs. team but more "everyone join in and have fun" being able to go into your guild hall and just have fun with whatever is going on instead of just training for PvP (although that is deffinately important)

Indoubtedly, one of the better posts on "more in game detail" for Guilds. Definitely earns a /signed.

Guild halls definitely need more, and capture the flag amongst guildmates would be very welcome there. No faction or exp involved - purely for fun (no faction should be involved in intraguild scrimmaging either, for obvious reasons). For CTF, variable team sizes should be fine. You should be able to set the two teams with any members you want, regardless of the number of people you have available. So if you have enough for 8v8, great. On the other hand if you only have 5 people and want to have a quick game of CTF at 3v2, that should be allowed too.

Exactly, and hell if you have enough members in your guild online at the same time why not 20 vs. 20? with the random team set up (where new players are asigned to a random team based on numbers and number of wins, or something along those lines) you could have people join in the middle of the game just to have fun. have it be an on going thing. If you were able to have multiple guild halls the guild leader could assign what games would be played at what halls. And actually another thing my friend and i were talking about, allowing a guild officer to take control of a guild hall designated by the guild leader allowing them to manage the hall as they see fit.

Guild Hall training areas have already been discussed and would encompass this idea. Understanding is that they're in the works.

Does it always have to be training? Why not just a fun game to play with your guild mates? I thought I made that part clear...guess not but the fact remains that granted they have Guild Hall training areas in the works but what I'm refering to is different then training for GvG battles i'm talking about a fun game that anyone can join and just play. they dont have to be PvP based hell you could have a game of tag going if you wanted those are the kind of games i'm talking about.
